I finished my degree in one semester at Arcadia University following the tragic and mysterious University of the Arts closure. I am now a college graduate, with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts! ◦°⋆⋆°◦✬꧂
My senior capstone, Next to Normal, opened Arcadia University’s Black Box Theatre under the expert mentorship of Artistic Director Kevin Glaccum. I’ve attached the poster from my production below! ◦°⋆⋆°◦✬꧂
This project was a revamped version of my UArts thesis, which was set to be a maximalist, story-driven, 10-person-cast expanded production of Ryan Scott Oliver’s 35mm: A Musical Exhibition ◦°⋆⋆°◦✬꧂
ARTIST STATEMENT!
I'm interested in juxtaposing magical whimsy and bold extremity. I find something incredibly exhilarating inside of tension and polarity. Moments of extreme feeling, conflict, and stakes. Receiving communion through celebrating community. Saying the quiet things out loud. Thousands of eyes staring back. It’s where the magic gets made. It’s how revolutions happen.

From new play development to innovative musical theatre, I had the honor of helming multiple productions during my time at the University of the Arts (may she rest in peace) and Arcadia University. Some highlights include the premiere of E Quinn’s Family Undone, my capstone Next to Normal, and the satirical new-play festival Bad Plays Only!

Hot girl plays from hell, chaotic coming-of-age tales, queer magical realism, and whimsical children’s theatre encapsute the essence of my playwriting canon. Ava Kepple’s traveling TYA troupe My Mother Once Read… premiered my play “The Fairy and the Snapdragon” at locations such as the Please Touch Museum and the Free Library of Philadelphia. My play “norma jeane: pop culture phenom, sex smbol, and sad, sad girl” was produced in the 2024 Equinox New Play Festival at University of the Arts, which also happened to be the final Equinox Festival.

Choreography is the foundation of my work as a theatre practitioner. I served as Student Director during my time at Crestwood High School, assisting Mary Leo with the drama department programming and choreographing the annual musical. Throughout my training, musicality has remained a staple of my work as a director. I consider myself a reinvention of the typical “directographer”, less focused on triple pirouttes and more focused on creating a cohesive movement language through blocking and choreography.

I am slowly working towards the completion of a debut EP, cooking up plenty of bedroom pop and a hyper-theatrical persona in the process. Stay tuned for more news about the project, and follow my Instagram for demo snippets! If you want to see me perform as a live vocalist anytime soon, book a trip with Tea Around Town Philadelphia whenever I’m scheduled!

During Scranton Shakespeare Festival’s 2022 season, I was served as a crucial part of the Intimacy Team. In addition to training with Theatrical Intimacy Education, I recieved mentorship from Sean Patrick Gibbons (certified by Intimacy Directors and Choreographers) to create intimacy staging for shows such as We Will Rock You, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and Sweet Charity.

After studying theatrical teaching artistry and lesson planning at UArts under Leah Walton, I secured a position as the Fall Education Intern at the Walnut Street Theatre. In this position, I worked under Maya Chester Ziv, Education Programs Manager, supporting the Education office and the touring outreach season. I recently started substitute teaching, in an attempt to further strengthen these skills for further teaching artistry opportunities!
